Pre-marital screening is a medical examination performed before couples get married. Through the test, couples will be made aware of their health condition and how it affects the relationship in the future. Generally, pre-marital screening involves the following measures: Blood and rhesus types checkup Genetic blood disease (e.g., Thalassemia) checkup Sexually transmitted diseases (e.g., HIV, Hep B, Hep C, and Syphilis) checkup Glucose levels checkup Other undiagnosed blood diseases checkup
Going through pre-marital screening is an important step before couples decide to tie the knot. It allows them to foresee whether or not they carry a certain genetic disease, hereditary disease, or infectious disease. The more that couples understand each other’s health condition, the more rational their decisions will be. When they’re finally sure to get married, they will make the commitment while being completely aware of the risks that could affect them in the future.
Our pre-marital health screening package is highly recommended for couples planning to start a family.
