- Patients must get enough sleep the night before check-ups as the lack of sleep may cause abnormalities in health screening results, including irregular blood pressure, body temperature, heartbeat, and more.
- Fast from eating or drinking any liquid besides water (to avoid dehydration effects on blood sugar and cholesterol tests) at least 8 to 10 hours prior to the health check-up.
- Do not consume alcohol for at least 24 hours before health screening as it may affect the test results. Be sure to inform the doctor or nurse if you had done so before the test.
